Humidity is silver’s biggest enemy. Simple habits that stop tarnish before it starts.
Silver darkens when it meets moisture and sulphur in the air — and the monsoon brings plenty of both.
Simple habits
- Wipe each piece with a soft, dry cotton cloth after wearing.
- Store in an airtight pouch or zip bag, one piece per pouch.
- Add a small packet of silica gel to your jewellery box.
- Put perfume and lotion on first, and silver on last.
